Lime Crime Lipstick Review
So the time has come for me to finally jump on the bandwagon and review some Lime Crime lipsticks!! I have been lusting after these babies from the moment I laid eyes on the gorgeous packaging, so fun and girly! Another reason I have wanted to get my hands on these is because I have heard such good things about the quality of the lipstick.
So as you can see above, even the boxes are gorgeous, really love that purple pop of colour and sparkly unicorn design, just amazing! Also bit sad but I love the contrasting green colour on the inside of the boxes, maybe your starting to realise how obsessed I am with these lipsticks already?
Again with the packaging, unicorns, hearts, this packaging reminds me of the sort I would have as my play lipsticks as a little girl, you remember those rock hard crayon like ones, that were more use scribbling all over the walls with. Maybe that's why I love them so much!
So once you crack these puppies open, you reveal the fabulously glossy case, again gorgeous pop of colour, and love the holographic prints on them! To compare to a mac lipstick, these are slightly chunkier, and fatter in size, but I love that, really nice size to hold in my opinion.
The first colour I decided to purchase was centrifuchsia, a beautiful blue toned pink, would compare it to mac's girl about town. It's very pigmented and the colour payoff is very good. The main thing I love about this lipstick is the texture on your lips, so creamy and applies beautifully. You only need one swipe, although is build able also. Only negative is when I wear it, it bleeds quite a lot, so would recommend wearing with a lip liner.
You can see it swatched above (is the pink not purple colour), you can see how glossy it is, and cannot explain how beautifully it goes on, such a gorgeous texture on the lips.
The next colour I purchased was poisonberry, which is a deep, slightly shimmery purple. Love this colour, such a rich purple, although a more daring colour to pull off. Not so in love with the texture of this one though, slightly thick, and isn't as silky application as the centrifuchsia. Also need a few swipes of this before you get an even colour consistency on the lips. Apart from the negatives, I still do really love this colour, and love the shimmer in it, gorgeous colour for autumn/winter and if you love a daring lippy!
Here is the colour swatched, you can see how highly pigmented it is, but the photo really doesn't pick up the gorgeous shimmer in this lipstick. Basically, I love both of these lipsticks, Centrifuchsia slightly more, but both are gorgeous! So go out and buy some lime crime, it will change your world, I guarantee it!
