Hello hello again you lovely people, hope you are all well and have been enjoying the lovely weather we have been having recently in the UK. I know this blog post has taken me a while, but since I'm newbie, I could not think what to blog about! And then I thought, what do I want to know about other peoples beauty habits - what's in there make up bag (because I'm a nosy bint)! So this moves me swiftly on to tell you all, what beauty products I am currently using day to day and have been living in my make up bag!

So to kick off, I will list my base products; at the moment I have been using as a base, either Body shop Seaweed Matte Day Cream, Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, or a new product I'm trying out The Present Primer by Philosophy. Out of the three my fave at the moment is the Beauty Flash Balm, as soon as I put it on my skin feels and looks amazing, and when I wear it under my foundation, it really gives it a dewy glow at lifts the colour, love this product so bloody much at the mo! Seaweed Matte Day Cream is a product I have used for a long time now, and would recommend as a good all rounder, also the Vitamin E range by Body Shop is fantastic if you want a relatively cheap product, that really work!

Onto my foundation now, and the holy grail of all foundations at that! It is the one and only Skinbase Foundation by Illamasqua, I use 8.5 and cannot express to everyone how amazing this foundation is. It goes onto my skin like silk, and blends in effortlessly, it's creamy consistency leaves my skin feeling fresh and glowing when I wear it. I tried so many foundations till I found this, and cannot imagine life without it if I'm honest! Also it always lasts for ages, so even though it's an expensive product you definately get value for money.  For my concealer I use mac studio fix concealer in NC30, and for my powder I use Rimmel Stay Matte in either translucent or peach glow. This is a great powder, and I've never seen the point on spending alot of money on a product, when there are things half the price that do as good of a job!

Next I move on to the old eyebrows, and trust me I have OCD when it comes to eyebrows. I have tried a few products on my brows in the past, one of the better ones being the Brow Zings Palette by Benefit. I had this palette in Medium, and it lasted me about two years, the colour was really good, but I never used the wax in the palette so wanted a palette with a few colours in so I could create my own shade. I found the HD Brows palette and decided to give it a go. I now am a convert, I love this palette and find its a great mutitasker as I can use it on my eyes as well. I chose to get the Foxy palette, which has a nude shade, a black, a warm brown and a dark brown. It's a great buy if you like to play about with your colours a bit to try and get the most natural shade for you. It also has a handy mirror, and I love when palettes have mirrors, as it means they are handbag friendly!

Moving swiftly onto my eyes, and for day to day wear I only rely on a couple of products for eye shadows. I always start with my Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a primer as when I apply this before any products my eyeshadow does not budge or crease half as much. As for eye shadows, I flit between two palettes my Naked Palette and my HD brows palette. I mainly stick to a nude base colour and warm brown in my crease, and prefer to use mattes for day time. My favourite colours from the Naked palette are Virgin, Sin, Naked, Buck and Smog. Its a great palette, very versatile and one I reach for on a daily basis.

As for brushes there are three ones I use daily for my eyes, my Mac 266 liner brush for my eyebrows and any powder liner I put on my eyes, my mac 239 brush that I use to pat colour onto my eyelid (usually my base colour) and finally my illamasqua blending brush for creasework. Love all three of these brushes, and feel these are must haves for my brush collection!!

A few more products I use on my eyes are Maybelline 'The Falsies' mascara, Benefit 'They're Real' mascara, and Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid eye liner. My favourite mascara out of these two has to be the Maybelline Falsies as it's affordble, and mascara is probably the product I go through the quickest, and the shape of the brush and formula of the mascara feel great on my lashes. Love the Benefit one too and I know this is meant to be 'THE' mascara at the moment, but didn't work wonders on my short straight little lashes, and made me feel like my lashes had a  plastic coating on them. SORRY, I know some of you will hate me for that one! I can see this being fabulous on ladies blessed with longer blinkers, and it did make my eyelashes look fuller and thicker.

Bronzer has to be my Illamasqua bronze duo, great every day compact to beautifully bronze up that skin!! Comes with two shades a light peachy shimmer, and a deeper bronze tan colour, these are called Glint and Writhe. I mix these two together, gives a gorgeous glow to your complexion, AND love, love, love the mirror in this compact, such a bonus when you get a good mirror, its a great size and shape for doing your eyeshadow.

My current blusher is another illamasqua product, it's called 'Naked Rose', it's a powder blusher that doesn't look like much in the compact, but oh my gosh is it gorgeous on my skin. I'm quite tanned (fake tan may I add), but I have a naturally olive complexion, and it works for me, but also works for my sisters complexion too. We both got the MUA at Illamasqua to try some on us, and even though my sister is an English rose it looked gorgeous on her skin as well, we both ended up buying it. I would even go as far to say it's the perfect everyday powder blush! I have swatched it as well as my bronzer duo (below left), and as you can see the blusher (below right) is just so pigmented, and you only need the smallest amount of product!

My highlighter is another Illamasqua product (I am completely obsessed with this make up brand) and it is a product that they used on me in store on my last visit. I always have used there 'Gleam' highlighter in Aurora underneath my foundation, but found when I powdered on top it was problamaticle because it's a cream product, so she used a powder eyeshadow in 'Slink' on me as a highlighter instead, and it is a really gorgeous colour, and reflects light beautifully. The swatch below doesn't do justice how gorgeous it is!!

Lastly onto my face brushes, and there's only really three I use at the moment, I could only find two to photograph as I am trialing the beauty blender sponge at the moment to review on here, so cant find my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush anywere, but it is none the less a brilliant everyday face brush! My other two are the Real Techniques Blush Brush, and the Mac 187 Duo Fibre Foundation brush. Love my Mac brush have been using this for years, and is a firm fave, not as crazy about the Blush Brush, and currently hunting for a new one, as although this one is good, it doesn't really give me precision application, because the brush fibres are so soft they ten to splay.

Thats all for now lovelies, but I have lots more blogs lined up, and promise to be alot more proactive with my upcoming uploads!! Look after your gorgeous selves, and stay beautiful!!
Bo x
