Beauty Blender Travel Set Review

So here it is finally!! One of my fave products of the year so far, the beauty blender travel set. This set is great value, that is one the reasons I originally purchased it in the first place. I wouldn't normally have bought the cleanser, and I usually just use baby shampoo on my brushes anyway, but I am actually quite impressed with it, its quite thick in consistency which i great for really cleansing the sponge (mine gets very grubby) and it has a beautiful lavender fragrance!! As for the the little bag, this has come in very handy for protecting the sponge in my make up bag, I wouldn't want to just cram it in, and it picks up any ounce of dirt off the inside of your make up bag. Ohh and I forgot to say how much I love the colour, it's just an added bonus that it's pink (my fave colour)!!

As you can see below, the sponge starts out quite small, and is a tear drop shape, the nib at the top of the sponge is great for blending concealer under the eyes, or spotting product on blemishes, and the rounder base is great for blending product all over the face. When the sponge is in this form it's quite firm and tight, so isn't great for applying product, this is why you rinse water through it for the next stage

Now you can see I have added the water to the sponge, and the sponge changes completely. I rinse cool water through the sponge, then squeeze the excess out on a piece of kitchen roll (you don't want it too wet). Once you do this, it doubles in size, and the texture of the sponge becomes alot more malleable and softer, which is perfect to get that flawless, airbrushed look the sponge gives you! The way I use mine is dab foundation on my face with my fingers and then work it through with the sponge. I am complete convert to this, and have always used brushes, but find this gives you a much more natural finish.

Well hope you guys enjoyed this post, will blog again soon!! xxx
